Before Oakley even came out with spherical lenses in Goggles brought out the Yodai ski goggle. The spherical lenses tailor each pair and uniquely correct any distortion normal associated with making a lens on a curve. This created the first ever ski goggle with out any peripheral distortion.

You can easy check to see if your ski goggle has spherically correct lenses by holding the goggle in front of your face sideways, so that you are looking at the lens from the side. From here you will clearly see that the Goggle lens takes on the same shape as the front of a football.

If you have a flat lens these can be seen from the top rim to the bottom rim of the goggles to be completely flat. These lenses are as flat as an sheet and literally are bent into the Goggle.

With the insert actually clipping into the inside of the ski goggle there is no glasses nose pads or sides to irate and alter the goggle fit and thus Adidas created the first usable optically corrected pair of Ski Goggles on the market.
